Kelly Khumalo considers singing gospel music
Kelly Khumalo is a South African singer, actress and dancer. Khumalo is from Spruitview in the East Rand. Recently, the song-bird has found herself conflicted.
The Asine hitmaker shared an emotional video clip on her Instagram.
She shared her thoughts and feelings about venturing into gospel music and also shared possible fears of losing herself while surrendering to a greater power.
Trace just recently launched a gospel channel that Kelly Khumalo performed at.
The star said while she was driving home after performing that evening, something in her has changed.
She mentioned that she used to believe secular music was her calling up until something really hit her.
She also pointed out the fact that she never imagined herself releasing a gospel album, and that thought really scares her.
” It scares me so much because for me– I love God, I respect God, and I think the biggest fear comes from whether I am making the right decision,” she shared on an Instagram story.
An emotional Kelly wondered if she was capable or whether it was the right time to do so.
A teary Kelly said she trusts God, however, is scared she’ll be surrendering and leaving herself behind.
Kelly mentioned that she likes being in control of every little thing in her life but gospel is one thing she won’t be in charge of.
” I do not want to look back and think: Kelly, what the hell were you thinking?” she stated.
Kelly has been getting some positive feedback from followers who believe she’ll be just as great doing gospel music as she is with Afro-soul.
