Vatiswa Ndara Not Give Up

The dust might have calmed down but the fight is not over for the talented actress Vatiswa Ndara!

The TV and film superstar is still ready to fight for actors and actresses who are being exploited by media production houses.

In October last year, the veteran actor Vatiswa Ndara made headlines with an open letter she wrote to sport, arts and culture minister Nathi Mthethwa. The letter was about what she alleged was the exploitation of actors.

In the letter, Vatiswa referred to an offer she was made by Ferguson Films, a company run and owned by actors Shona and Connie Ferguson.

Recently, Vatiswa has given her fans an update. In her latest tweets, she informed her followers that she is still in contact with sport, arts and culture minister Nathi Mthethwa.

She has shown no signs of giving up, she sent out an open letter bashing media houses and made mention of Ferguson Films, owned by Connie and Shona Ferguson.

In her latest tweets regarding the matter, she thanks the minister for his call and also mentions that she looks forward to liaising with the ministry to find a solution on the matter.

Dear @NathiMthethwaSA Thank you for your call. I trust that you’ve had time to formulate a response to my letter. It will assist in giving direction on the work to be done as the industry lacks a vision. We look forward to DAC’s #Vision2020 to be the cornerstone for the decade.

She also tried to describe how extreme is the situation by asking people to imagine what it is like for the cast, crew and actors of their favourite shows, who do not know when their next meal will be.
